You're perfectly right. And that's why it's not a good thing to use a "martingale" technique alone but only to reduce looses in a trading strategy that's already proven to be successful, with a more than 1:1 W/L ratio etc.
Anyway I'm not using it anymore, not in the way I described here but in a more "sofisticated" and smoothed way.
Actually I'm working on developing EAs that use martingales only as an option.
